Message From Our Founder

Three months.
That is how long it has been since a Mothers to Daughters newsletter landed in your inbox.
And while things may have been quieter here, they have been anything but quiet behind the scenes.
I have spent these past months in rooms, conversations and communities that have continued to reinforce something I have believed for a long time: talent is everywhere, but access is not.

There are extraordinary women with the intelligence, ambition and ability to build remarkable lives and businesses who are still separated from opportunity by relationships they do not have, information they were never given, capital they cannot yet access, or rooms they do not know how to enter.

I am more encouraged than ever to help change that.
When I founded Mothers to Daughters, mentorship was at the heart of the vision. It still is. But the assignment has become clearer.

We are building bridges to economic mobility for women.
That means connecting generations, yes. But it also means connecting women to knowledge, relationships, opportunity, entrepreneurship, capital and the kind of proximity that can change the trajectory of a life.
Because sometimes the difference between where a woman is and where she could be is not another motivational speech.
It is an introduction.
A mentor who tells her what nobody told them.
A customer who takes a chance on her.
A job opportunity shared at the right moment.
A room she finally has access to.
A woman from another generation willing to open the door and say, come with me.

That is the Mothers to Daughters I am building for our next chapter.
Over the last several months, we have continued expanding our work across community, entrepreneurship, strategic partnerships and intergenerational leadership. We have been developing the next evolution of our programming, strengthening the ecosystem around the women we serve and thinking much more intentionally about what measurable opportunity should look like.
And we are only getting started.
As we enter this next season, you will hear from us more consistently—not simply with updates about Mothers to Daughters, but with opportunities that can move women forward.

Expect conversations about economic mobility, entrepreneurship and leadership.
Expect resources and opportunities.
Expect wisdom across generations.
Expect introductions to women you should know.
And expect us to keep asking one important question:
How do we turn community into opportunity?

Our North Star remains ambitious: helping create pathways for 100,000 women entrepreneurs by 2035.
I believe even more deeply today that we can get there.
Not alone.

But together—with women willing to share wisdom, organizations willing to open doors, companies willing to invest, and a community willing to move beyond networking toward meaningful economic advancement.

So, yes, we are back.
But more importantly, we are clearer.
And I could not be more excited about what we are building next.

With wisdom and purpose,
Francine Mbvoumbo
